Recap: Mingling Perspectives Collective Exhibition

This month has been filled will all kinds of activity! I feel like there was a volcanic eruption at the beginning of the month, and now I'm doing all kinds of work behind the scenes for the next big bang.

First off, I'd like to say thank you so much for your support in the collaborative exhibition, "Minling Perspectives." It took a lot of preparation to bring everything together and I was actually nervous to share it. Many of you surprised me with which pieces were your favourite. In celebration of the exhibition lauch, I have added a new A4 size print to the mix. I hope you love it just as much as I do.

In the Studio: Simplicity

This October I've stripped back the materials and now I'm enjoying the simplicity of the humble coloured pencil. I traditionally focus on realism with all the emphasis on the subject matter. It feels good to enjoy this once again after the challenge of implementing abstract elements to add complexity and interest. So far, I have three coloured pencil pieces complete with a fourth on the way mainly focused on my beloved theme of mythology. You can see one HERE depicting a water nymph inspired by the tale of Hylas.
