Bio
DeMers' art career began to take shape at the University of Finlandia, USA. There, she pursued her bachelors, graduating in 2011 with honors. Throughout her academic tenure, she received recognition through several awards, grants and scholarships. Inspired by her experiences teaching internationally, the use of hands and face became a popular motif in her work as a form of telling a story. Apart from her personal artistry, she has also contributed to the art community as a gallery director, as a member of the Young Women’s Caucus, as well as an art teacher. Her work has been exhibited internationally in countries like the USA, Japan, China, England, and currently in Malta, showcasing her global reach and influence.
